Why does reno look like axel

I honestly don't know, btu I think Tetsuya Nomura hinted at it. User Info: KMA2. To a certain extent. Nomura was fond of Reno and thought it would be cool to see a similar character in a totally different situation.
They also share a VA in most, if not all, languages. User Info: spectermaster Henry's his best role, IMO. User Info: kaanVI. Nomura stated that he wanted to put a familliar face in an unfamillia setting hence why he used reno's model for axel SW- To me, Axel is an existence close to Reno, created in the same concept, but they are different people.
Those two are different people but subconsciously alike. I wanted to see how it would be to have completely different characters that are really similar to each other but hold different kind of roles in different worlds. Ruran said:. There's never been a mention of Sion that I know of, but Sora's KH1 design was based off of Mickey's as a spiritual representation of him because he couldn't be included in the story as much as the staff wanted because of legal reasonns.
FudgemintGuardian Moist with roistering. Well the Sion thing may have certainly been fan speculation due to their similarities I mean, the similarities are there , I just know that after I read about it it has always stuck out to me.
I'm sure you know more about it though than I do regarding who he was based off of, I've never heard of him being spiritually based off of Mickey, but I can certainly believe it. FudgemintGuardian said:.
It was meeeeeeeeeeee who mentioned it! I've never seen it mentioned in anything official, anyway. I want Sion to be KH so badly. All the funny that could happen Heck, Sion sounds exactly like Xion. He can be used to have Sora learn Xion's name. Sora thinking to himself: Sion? Have I I don't think so Solo Silver Member. As for Sora being based off of Mickey, isn't it because Square wanted Mickey to be the main character while Disney, Donald? Then, Nomura came up with an original character which we now know as Sora.
Several aspects of Mickey were present in Sora's KH1 outfit, such as white gloves, red pants, and yellow big-as-heck shoes. Solosis said:. That's if I remember correctly and I could be wrong , but I do recall reading something like that somewhere. Probably even within the forums. Haha well hello there stranger, mystery solved And you don't know how bad I would love to see Sion in Kingdom Hearts.
It's probably one of the more unlikely things that would happen, especially considering I'm probably 1 of 14 people that actually enjoyed The Bouncer from who I have spoken to about it anyway , but I feel like the characters would fit so well in the KH universe, especially as residents of Radiant Garden or Twilight Town.
Man, this is all news to me. Mickey and Donald were originally thought up as main characters? I couldn't imagine not even having a Sora. Disney wanted a Donald game. But he had no one like that. He actually became more and more childlike as the story progressed.
He was desperate for ANY kind of emotional support. For most of Days, he was trying to do what was best for Roxas. He was more worried about himself. Overall, Axel just came across as waaay more mentally unstable than Reno. Reno viewed being in the Turks as just a job.
Aerith actually seemed like she was fond of him, despite him trying to kidnap her. They had a weird kinda bond. In the remake, Aerith was actually horrified when Cloud tried to finish Reno off.
Axel was actually darker than Reno in certain ways. Until he met Roxas and Xion, he followed any orders obediently. He seemed to take a lot more sadistic pleasure in the killing part of his job. Axel was enthusiastic about killing. He was venting his anger and hatred, which is not the sense I got from Reno.
Of course, since Axel was basically forced to be an assassin as a child, he had another side to him. Reno constantly admonished Elena for being too soft. Axel never ever would have acted that way with Roxas. He tried to shelter him from any of the harsher aspects of the organization. He dissociated from those aspects himself. Deep down, he knew what he was doing was bad, and he used euphemisms and ambiguity to avoid it.
He had a very childlike way of dealing with his job. He seemed to have a lot more guilt and self-hatred over his deeds than Reno. That idea in itself ended up being no good, but we managed to keep the part with the Princesses in the final game.
Haha, that actually makes me think. In KH1, Riku was a Disney villain. He teamed up with Maleficent, Hades, Jafar, etc. Sora was a Disney prince. In the original pitch for the story, he was going to team up with all the princes in Hollow Bastion. And Kairi was one of the seven princesses.
The characters stuck to very traditional gender roles and plot archetypes. I have a feeling Nomura wanted to stay true to the Disney spirit, but those types of characters are not really his true preference. For instance, in Re:Coded, Riku was no longer the villain. He was the damsel in distress, who was kidnapped by Maleficent and taken to Hollow Bastion.
He now played the role of the sleeping princess, like Kairi did in KH1. Sora had to use the datascape version power of waking on him. Aqua played the role of the brave prince. And Ven was the pure-hearted princess. When Xemnas looked down at Roxas, he was thinking about Ventus in the Chamber of Waking and remembering his past. And I think it was strongly hinted at that Axel was remembering his past when he looked down at the sleeping Xion.
So, according to classic Disney roles, Lea would be the prince, and Isa would be the princess. As a start, I have built a device that artificially creates Heartless. By recreating the conditions that spawn the Heartless naturally, I should be able to produce them artificially. This device is the culmination of all my research thus far. True, he could have been the original Red Nocturne. I wish we learned more about how the artificial Heartless were created in the Heartless Manufactory.
Perhaps Lea was involved in this experiment. What had changed that he could no longer open the way to the Corridors of Darkness? He stared at his hand in confusion. My choice to befriend darkness here in the midst of nothingness was a sound one. The moment I stared straight ahead with a calm heart, neither rejecting darkness nor fearing it, I gained a newfound power.
A superhuman power—the power of darkness. While it is still difficult to come and go as I please, my banishment is now a thing of the past. Ansem the Wise lost the ability to use dark corridors after he atoned. Once they became human again, Even, Aeleus, and Ienzo were not able to open dark corridors. Why was Lea able to, while they were not?
Yes, Axel was now truly flesh and blood, which meant that the idea of losing himself to the darkness frightened him. He broke into a smile—what a human thing to feel. Still, he needed the power of darkness to open these corridors. The darkness in his heart gave him that power, and he had at least enough for this.
